The Derby City Knights 2009 season is now in full swing. The Knights are still accepting applications for a limited number of positions. However, the Knights will be closing enrollment for the 2009 season at the end of June. Interested applicants should send a resume through the "contact us" of this website.

The 2009 season is one of change and renewal for the Derby City Knights- complete new staff, new music, and new members. The focus for this season is to compete as a mini-corps in the Drum Corps Associates (DCA) circuit, with the goal of being a Top 5 finalist at the season-ending DCA World Championships in Rochester, NY on Labor Day Weekend. The show will feature such tunes as "Overture to Light Cavalry" by Franz v. Suppe, "Shenandoah" by Quinto Maganini, and "William Tell Overture" by Gioacchino Rossini.
Positions for performing members include trumpet, mellophone and baritone. You must be at least 18 years old and have previous experience in marching band, drum & bugle corps, indoor percussion or other percussion ensemble. If you are not of the appropriate age for our ensemble we do have a sponsorship program that can allow you to join. All members must pay their annual dues to participate with the Derby City Knights.
